Gift of being Present

As we head into the last month of winter, we may be tempted to feel as if Spring will never arrive. Yes, the days are frigid and most likely there will be more snow to come. But if you slow down, you will notice the days are getting longer. There has been a couple of days in which the sun broke through the cloud cover. Soon enough, the air will be warmer, and the snow will melt as we move into the next season.

For now, I will encourage you to dress in your warmest clothes and go outside for a winter walk. Noticing the stillness of the evenings. The sounds echoing off the snow and ice. Embrace the beauty in the winter because soon it will shift into the warmth of Spring.

The best gift you have is the ability to be present.
