Jennifer has special interest in the management of stress, trauma, abuse, assertiveness, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss.
Our past experiences can affect our present difficulties. Jennifer is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Trained Clinician and utilizes EMDR to aid clients in effectively reprocessing disturbing memories or trauma so as to form more adaptive responses and live life to its fullest.
She believes thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are strongly connected; utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Interpersonal Therapy, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness to aid in the counseling process. This guides clients toward exploring healthy ways to approach life and decrease stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms, while increasing energy and mood, and achieving personal goals and a sense of empowerment.
